Ronaldinho follows British legends Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs to India as the first season of Premier Futsal draws near.
• The league will have six teams from six cities
• The cities include Kolkata, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Goa, Kochi and Chennai
• Ronaldinho will play for Goa 5’s while Giggs will turn up for Mumbai and Scholes will represent Bengaluru
Ronaldinho arrived in India last nigh tamidts all his fans and photographers. The two time Ballom d’Or winner has come down to India to play in the inaugral Premeier Futsal League.
The 36-year-old Brazilian legend will play for Goa their marquee player.
The former Barcelona and AC Milan star stepped out of the International airport in his trademark casual self wearing a casual t-shirt, shorts and studs and was welcomed with a huge line of photographers.
The 2002 World Cup winner was calm as usual and obliged the lensmen by posing for photographs, even as the bouncers and police jostled around. The organisers had arranged for a Rolls Royce to pick up the great footballer with league CEO, Abhinandan Balasubraminian present to receive the player.

Premier Futsal, a franchise-based international tournament and promoted by an entity formed by Indian entrepreneurs, has attracted some of the world’s well known former football stars.
Portuguese football legend Luis Figo is the president of the league while Indian cricket star Virat Kohli has been roped in as its ambassador.
The tournament kicks off on July 15 and moves to Goa on July 18. The final will take place in Goa on July 24.
